Folkestone Angels was set up in May 2004 with 5 members, following in a long family tradition of running baton twirling troups across the country running back to the early 1970's.
We have now grown to about 35 members, aged from 3 up to 26 years old.Twirling is a great sport and we would like to promote it more in the Uk and hope that it will some day be an olympic sport.
2005 saw us competing on the open circuit before joing the NBTA in 2006 as temporary members where our PeeWee team was undefeated all year. 2007 saw us join the NBTA as full members and following continued sucesss in regional competitions we forfilled our main aim for the season when we were crowned national champions. We take part in carnivals, dispalys and competitions. We have a big show and party every christmas and we take grades twice a year.
